Our client, a prominent company specializing in cement manufacturing in Tripoli, Libya, is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to join their exceptional team.

THE JOB

As an Operation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in improving production efficiency, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining safety standards within our plant. This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of cement manufacturing processes.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Oversee and optimize the production processes while adhering to the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, efficiency enhancement, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment to ensure proper functioning, identifying and resolving any operational issues or breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, logistics, and quality control, to streamline processes and resolve conflicts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for personnel operating plant equipment.
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to enhance production capacity and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in the cement manufacturing industry to propose innovative solutions for operational improvement.
  • Lead and supervise a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Schedule and coordinate production activities, ensuring the availability of materials, resources, and manpower as required.
  • Prepare reports, data analyses, and presentations on operational performance, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations throughout all production processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in chemical/mechanical engineering or a related field.
  2. Proven work experience (at least 11years) as an Operation Engineer or similar role in the cement or heavy industry sector.
  3. Deep knowledge of the cement manufacturing process, including raw material selection, grinding, kiln operation, fuel consumption optimization, and quality control.
  4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify improvement opportunities.
  5. Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING THE RIGHT PERSON

We are offering the following for the successful candidate:

  1. A competitive gross salary of 1000 – 2500 USD Per Month.
  2. Overtime of 2.5 USD per hour.
  3. Food and local allowance of 300-400 LYD (Libyan dinar).
  4. Free accommodation and transport.
