Job Description

Craydel (www.craydel.com) is Africa’s largest higher education platform, helping students search, get matched and enrolled to top Universities across the world!   We leverage on technology, to disrupt the study abroad industry that is currently fragmented, unorganized and at often misguided by financial incentives rather than student outcomes.

About the Role

Craydel is seeking an Operations Manager responsible for the day to day operations of the operations team, such as conversation of leads to opportunities up to enrolment. You will train, coach, ensure quality and provide information about study destinations, admissions, visa requirements and ensure accurate advice is given to students on requirements. You will be accountable for the daily targets on calls, deposits and enrollment and work closely with other members of the team and with admission counselors to ensure an efficient application process for all applicants.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Strategic partnerships with schools, local universities, corporates etc. to generate demand for study abroad.
  • Provide leadership to the stakeholders at a strategic and operational level
  • Ownership of marketing campaigns, brand building in Kenya for Craydel
  • Owns data reporting and bringing operational excellence through process improvements and trainings
  • Owns projects like building knowledge banks for visas, application system implementation and compliance
  • Performance management of team and coordinates hiring and strategic planning
  • Manage relationships with universities to follow up and obtain the offer letters within defined SLAs
  • Planning visa and application resource bandwidth based on intake-wise volume targets
  • Recruit, manage and train counsellors, application and visa team in Kenya in coordination with all Kenya offices requirements
  • Engaging with external stakeholders (embassies, etc.) to improve the relationships with visa authorities and improve visa success rate Stay up to date with visa rules and organize visa trainings.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 8-10 years’ experience in a sales role
  • Handled a large sales team in a target-based environment and delivered consistent revenue growth
  • Self-starter, requires minimum instructions
  • Open and quick to lean mew things
  • Creative thinker; solutions-based approach
  • Non-Study abroad background
  • Excellent communication skills and able to manage multiple geographies
  • Process orientation, performance management routines
  • Exposure to CRM a plus
