Job Description

Pezesha, has created a holistic financial marketplace for MSMEs. By offering lending, financial education, and debt counselling to borrowers, plus a proprietary credit scoring system to vet MSMEs without a credit history, derisking lending to SMEs. Lower Risks bring commercial banks and capital providers onto Pezesha platform. As a collaborative structure, Pezesha is helping to tackle the $19 Billion financing gap for SMEs. Pezesha is led by a highly experienced and passionate local team with more than 10 years local and international experience in fin-tech, management of growth and technology companies, and unparalleled local market knowledge and reach.

Responsibilities

  • Work with CEO on lead generation, acquisition and onboarding of new credit and SaaS partners
  • Own the entire B2B sales close process: prospective partner discovery calls, partner contextual product development, align product demo to prospective partner, manage internal resources to ensure sales close and onboard project to growth team
  • Work closely with the marketing team to build product awareness on Pezesha B2B business lines
  • Developing and maintaining competitive analysis reports in line with business line objectives and market trends
  • Represent the CEO with managing discovery calls, aligning post-call objectives and attending strategic events in line with the business line objectives
  • Collaborates with the internal growth team to optimise credit business and SaaS sales funnel in line with applicable business objectives and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on portfolio management and retention

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or Marketing Operations
  • At least 3 years of proven work experience in a B2B business development or similar role
  • Proven organisational skills, with written and verbal communication
  • Critical thinking skills; strategic thinking coupled with cross-functional team management and internal and external prioritisation decisions as aligned with the CEO
  • Added advantages: MBA, experience in Fintech or East African Banking industry
  • Ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with little or no guidance.
