Perioperative Nurse

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Perioperative Nurse will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical and invasive procedures, ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases. The role also supports patient safety, infection prevention, surgical asepsis and efficient theatre operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing or Kenya Registered Nursing.
  • Higher Diploma in Perioperative Nursing. (Mandatory)
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya with a valid Practicing License.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a busy Operating Room.
  • Experience providing direct nursing care in surgical cases within the last 1 Year required.
  • Valid ACLS and BLS certificates.
