Machakos County, nicknamed ‘Macha,’ was the first capital city of Kenya and is now an administrative county in Kenya. Machakos is made up of eight (8) constituencies including Machakos Town, Mavoko, Masinga, Yatta, Kangundo, Kathiani, Matungulu, and Mwala. Machakos Town is the administrative capital of the County.

Duties and responsibilities

• Carrying out drawing task
• Collecting and analysing geographical data for preparing plans
• Digitizing physical development plans
• Drawing physical development plans of small centers from sketches
• Updating plans
• Conducting site inspection

Requirement for Appointment

For appointment to this grade an officer must have: –

• Diploma in any of the following areas Urban and Regional planning. urban
• Planning, Building, Civil Engineering, Catagraphy, Geo-informatics Geographic information systems (GIS) from a recognized Institution
• A minimum experience of three 3 years in this field.
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
