Plastic Production Engineer

Job Description

  • Managing of Helmet Assembly process as per Plan. Managing of the helmet production process including all the sub-department
  • Conversant with SAP application for production process…conversant with a manufacturing software
  • Excellent Manpower handling skills. With emphasis on conflict resolution
  • Highlighting process bottlenecks. Both on the floor & SAP
  • Workflow organisation. Both on the floor & SAP
  • Undertake initiatives to enhance quality of product & process. Both on the floor & SAP
  • Compliance with monthly production plans and targets.
  • Compliance with inventory control procedure in each department. With regular inventory checks between the system & floor. Review and update of the BOM’s in SAP
  • Manage the operation workforce through continuous coaching & feedback, resolve grievances & maintain high motivation levels in the team.
  • Monitor the productivity of each sub department to ensure that improvements are made in terms of quality, cost and process efficiency.
  • Study all processes and advise on methods to limit cycle time and wastage.
  • Analyse processes to identify improvement areas and implement measures to reduce rejection levels and rework.

Experience Required:

  • Relevant Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years in production engineering, specifically within helmet or protective gear manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with industry standards for helmets (e.g., DOT, ECE, Snell) and safety regulations.
  • Process Development: Experience in developing and optimizing production processes related to helmet manufacturing.

Skills Required:

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of materials and their properties used in helmet production (e.g., EPS foam, polycarbonate).
  • Proficiency in production machinery and equipment.

Qualification:

  • Degree/masters in mechanical Engineering or any related course
