Job Description

Brainston Kindergarten is a Private School offering the 2.6.6.3 Competency Based Curriculum (CBC). Our main focus is the education of your child in all aspects.

Summary:

  • Plan and execute appropriate activities for the students each day according to the curriculum, schemes of work, and lesson plans.
  • Assist with the planning of the curriculum by providing safe, creative, and appropriate educational opportunities for all children within an inclusive environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Qualified teacher with a P1 diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for education and young children
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Team player mentality – enjoy working in teams and group problem-solving.
  • Be able to teach ART/ CRAFT AND  MUSIC, INTEGRATED SCIENCE, COMPUTER SCIENCE, AGRICULTURE,  MATHS, and other key activity areas.
  • Be conversant with  Key computer applications
  • Registered by the TSC and issued with TSC Number
  • CBC trained (Both JSS, Primary & ECD Levels. )

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans, while establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities
  • Keep updated with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods, and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
  • Prepare the classroom for class activities and be able to use relevant technology to support instruction
