Job Description

The Coca-Cola Company, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American multinational beverage corporation, and manufacturer, retailer, and marketer of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups.

Summary

The primary role of the Process Operator-Mechanical  is to maintain process equipment and machine and ensure continued machine availability for production, the execution of non-destructive quality checks and carrying out of routine maintenance. The process operator  has a primary focus on the asset  care activities of the team. The role reports to the shift team leader

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Assist shift based teams with situational problem solving.
  • Coach the shift based teams on machine operation, machine fault finding and correct responses to machine failure modes.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer of machine operation and maintenance to shift based teams.
  • Review SIC’s and address deviations regularly
  •  Development of work instructions related to equipment.
  • Monitor and manage performance of equipment.
  • Verify and ensure that machines are running at rated speed

Maintenance of plant and equipment

  • Carrying out deep cleaning, lubrication and inspection of machines according to the work instructions, and following the schedules supplied by the maintenance planner
  • Carrying out autonomous maintenance activities according to the work instructions to the work instructions, and following the maintenance schedule.

Requirement

Quality Control and Analysis

  • Carrying out quality checks and analysis as per the quality procedures
  • Recording the results of quality checks on the relevant documentation of information system
  •  Prepare and communicate shift handover reports to ensure production continuity
  •  Participate in Technical meetings and escalate issues that could not be resolved during the shift and follows up to ensure gap closure
  •  Ability to stand in for the Production Team Leader where required
  •  Ability to work shift

Skills, Experience & Education    

  • Minimum requirement:   Diploma in Mechanical engineering or related fiel
  • Knowledge in PLCs will is an added advantage
  • Minimum 2 years experience  as a machine operator , preferably in food production environment
  • Experience in FMCG  is an added advantage
