Job Description

Somo is a business accelerator that supports social entrepreneurs working to transform low-income communities. These resources include business training, funding, access to new markets and tailored advising and mentorship.

Procurement Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement processes from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations, and support vendor selection
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in line with internal procedures
  • Trock orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation
  • Support cost negotlations while maintaining quallty standards
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policles and arganizational guidelines
  • Liaise with internal teams to understand and meet procurement needs
  • Monitor stock levels and support inventory management
  • Prepare procurement reports and support audits when needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2-3 years” experlence in procurement, logistics, or administrative coordination
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with close attention to detail
  • Experience using ERP/procurement systems (e.g. Odoo) is required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
