Job Description

Salary RangeKSh 150,000 – KSh 200,000/month

REQUIREMENTS

Education : DEGREE IN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PREFERRED. DIPLOMA IN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT. GOOD COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS ORAL AND WRITTEN. EXCELLENT NEGOTIATING, CO-ORDINATING AND PLANNING SKILLS. EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL SKILLS, PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING A TEAM.

Experience: 5 YEARS PROGRESSIVE WORKING EXPERIENCE IN FMCG FIRM. EXPERIENCE IN A BEVERAGE PROCESSING PLANT ADDED ADVANTAGE. EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN USING ERP, IFMIS.

Salary:  KSHS. 150,000 – 180,000 PLUS COMPANY BENEFITS

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • PROCUREMENT MANAGER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM STOCKS AND FOR THE OPERATION OF THE STORE AS WELL AS INCHARGE OF ALL COMPANY PURCHASING PROCESSES BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES; RE-ORDERING OF RAW & PACKAGING MATERIAL BOTH IMPORTS & LOCAL.
  • FOLLOWING UP ON IMPORTS ORDERS WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE IMPEX OFFICER.
  • RAISING AND CONFIRMING LOCAL ORDERS.
  • CO-COORDINATING PURCHASES OF SISTER COMPANIES.
  • LEADING NEGOTIATIONS WITH SUPPLIERS FOR BETTER PRICING AND BETTER CREDIT TERMS.
  • STRATEGIC SOURCING INCLUDING MEETING AND VISITING BOTH EXISTING AND NEW SUPPLIERS.
  • LIAISING WITH BOTH OVERSEES AND LOCAL SUPPLIERS TO KNOW THE STATUS OF OUR ORDERS PLACED.
  • LIAISING WITH USER DEPARTMENT TO ENSURE WHAT IS REQUESTED IS OF THE RIGHT SPECS.
  • FOLLOWING UP ON OPENING OF CREDIT ACCOUNT WITH CASH SUPPLIERS.
  • KEEPING ABREAST WITH CURRENT MARKET TREND.
  • DEVELOPING STRATEGIES TO IMPROVE SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE IN TERMS OF ON-TIME DELIVERY, OVERALL QUALITY, WASTE AND COST REDUCTION. ATTENDING MEETING WITH NEW AND EXISTING SUPPLIER WHEN REQUIRED.
  • ENSURING GOODS AND SERVICES ARE ORDERED AS PER THE REQUIRED SPECIFICATIONS AND WITHIN ACCEPTABLE LEAD TIME.
  • SETTING KPIS FOR SUPERVISORS AND APPRAISING THEM.
  • CO-COORDINATING SUPPLIER EVALUATION AND RE-EVALUATION. MANAGING SUPPLIER RELATIONS.
