Procurement Officer

Position Overview:

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process for their security solutions projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, ideally within the technology or security sector, and will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products and services required to support the company’s operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery times.
  • Request and analyze supplier quotations to determine the best value for the organization.
  • Negotiate contracts, including terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures for streamlined processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply while avoiding shortages or excess stock.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to establish budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the procurement process, such as supply chain disruptions or quality issues.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSP-K).
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with procurement in the technology or security sector.
  • Familiarity with technology and IT equipment, including CCTV, access control, and related systems.
