WHAT YOU OWN

• Field and partner apps Swops, payments, trip and eamings dota, loan balance, support. Spark and back-end tools Fleet, telematics, battery and station management, credit and collections.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Get out to riders and swap stations, and turn what you hear into a ranked problem list rather than a feature wishlist.
• Set and defend the roadmap with the President, tied to the quarter’s business goals.
• Write specs and acceptance criteria engineers can build from: stories, edge cases, states, API expectations.
• Run the development cycle standups, demos, releases unblock. planning, grooming. and keep the team
• Own release quality. UAT with field teams, staged rollouts, and a rollback plan.
• Define and instrument the metrics for each launch, then report honestly on what moved. Station operators, technicians, agents, dealers Data and reporting The dashboards operations, finance and leadership run on

WHAT YOU BRING

• A degree in computer science, software engineering or a closely related technical field.
• At least 2 years in product at a startup or high-growth company, owning outcomes and not just process.
• A product you took from idea to live users – and the story of what happened after launch.
• Strong software development methodology: agile or scrum in practice, estimation, code review, CI/CD, release management.
• Enough technical fluency to read an API contract, sketch a data model and question an architecture decision.
• Comfort with data: define a metric, pull the numbers yourself, change your mind when they disagree.
• Based in Narobi, and out in the field regularly. Bonus points for mobility, logistics, finTech, lending or energy products, hardware plus software (telematics, IoT, fleet tracking), M-Pesa, asset financing or PAYGO; SQL and your own dashboards, Kiswahili and a feel for the boda boda economy.
