Program Assistant

  • Our client, a global impact investing organization, is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Jiinue Growth Program (JGP).
  • The Program Assistant will provide administrative, logistical, and technical support to ensure smooth program implementation. Their key duties will include coordinating meetings, maintaining program documentation, supporting reporting processes, and facilitating communication with team members and partners. Reporting to the Program Manager, this role is critical to the efficient delivery of program activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in scheduling, coordinating meetings, and organizing program events.
  • Support the collection and organization of program data, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records in program databases.
  • Coordinate logistics for program activities, including workshops, field visits, and travel arrangements for staff and partners.
  • Prepare and compile program reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
  • Track petty cash and program expenses, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to the program budget.
  • Facilitate communication with partners and program participants, ensuring the smooth flow of information.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for other tasks that contribute to the achievement of program objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in program support or administrative roles, preferably within the nonprofit, impact investment, or international development sectors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Authorization to work in Kenya.
