Job Description

PATH is an international organization that drives transformative innovation to save lives and improve health, especially among women and children. We accelerate innovation across five platforms-vaccines, drugs, diagnostics, devices, and system and service innovations-that harness our entrepreneurial insight, scientific and public health expertise, and passion for health equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Support MBFI+ project implementation and research activities in Kenya by providing project management support and technical support (in the areas of newborn/nutrition/lactation for at risk newborns and infants) to the PATH team and partners.
  • Provide project management across MBFI+ project and teams, creating and monitoring project workplans for ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of technical assistance activities on the development and implementation of MBFI+ at project sites.
  • Support project leadership to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all assigned project activities per donor and PATH standards and established schedules.
  • Support the development of tools, templates, fact sheets and policy briefs.
  • Support the logistics, planning and preparation of trainings, workshops, events, and other project activities.
  • Provide support in development of project reports, PowerPoint presentations, manuscripts and other communications materials.
  • Support advocacy strategies/initiatives or approaches.
  • Support successful project collaborations with key partners through establishing routine communication, monitoring of project milestones, and ensuring deliverables are of high quality and on-time.
  • Support proposal development efforts as needed.

Required Skills/Competencies/Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in public health, nutrition, early childhood development, social sciences, development, public policy, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years direct experience in child health projects—preferably with international teams, in project management and/or implementation research.
  • Technical expertise in newborn care, nutrition, or lactation support for at-risk infants less than 6 months and their mothers.
  • Completed project management training or equivalent experience managing project workplans and reporting.
  • Excellent understanding of the Kenya health system and related structures and service providers.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordination of project activities, working with multiple teams including government, civil society, and community.
  • Demonstrated experience in work planning, meeting coordination and report writing.
  • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Kenya.
