Job Description

Fanisi is a HR consulting and management company that guides enterprises in setting up management and development of their workforce. We support Small and Medium Enterprises to excel in improving the people component of their businesses and organizations by building human capital through developing employee related policies and practices, staff training and development, incentive programs, talent acquisition and retention.

Salary RangeKSh 150,000 – KSh 200,000/month

Summary

Our client is a leading finance, business support, and knowledge facility dedicated to unleashing the transformative potential of the creative economy sector in Africa.  They seek to hire a dynamic Program Manager to lead our efforts in inclusive finance for creative entrepreneurs. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive program aimed at supporting young women and men, and other vulnerable groups in the cultural and creative industries.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

  1. Develop and execute the overall program strategy, ensuring alignment with mission and objectives.
  2. Oversee effective program implementation, including grant and loan disbursements, financial activity monitoring, and partner coordination.
  3. Foster strong relationships with consortium partners and strategic stakeholders to maximize program impact.
  4. Collaborate with local organizations and communities to ensure outreach and support for creative entrepreneurs.
  5. Work closely with the M & E team to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments.
  6. Provide leadership and guidance to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  7. Ensure clear and timely communication with program partners, stakeholders, and the public.

Required Specifications

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Experience in program management, with a focus on inclusive finance and economic empowerment.
  3. Deep understanding of the cultural and creative industries in Kenya and the challenges faced by youth-led enterprises.
  4. Strong knowledge of financing mechanisms for inclusive growth, including grant-making and loan disbursement.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Previous experience working with vulnerable communities, such as young women, young men, refugees, and persons with disabilities, is highly desirable.
  7. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team towards achieving program goals.
