Requirements for Appointment:-

• Bea Kenyan Citizen;
• Holder of Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agricultural sciences (e.g Agriculture,
• Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Production, etc) Rural Development, Economics, Business studies or relevant field, a master’s degree will be an added advantage;
• Possess at least 10 years of management experience in agricultural production, marketing or business development with government institutions, international organizations or the private sector. Experience in donor-funded project coordinator and management, preferably the world bank or other development partners will be an added advantage;
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and proven experience on agricultural value chain development and livelihood diversification interventions; a
• Have knowledge of STEP Procurement Procedure of the WB; and
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity (cleared EACC, HELB, CRB and in possession of valid
• Good Conduct Certificate)

Duties and Responsibilities: –

• Secretary to the steering committee chaired by the County Executive Committee Member;
• Acts as liaison between the county government and_ national project coordination unit;
• Lead in the preparation of annual work plan and budgets;
• Coordination of preparation of MOUs with beneficiary communities;
• Ensure proper utilization of project resources:
• Preparation of progress financial reports;
• Ensure compliance of world bank and GOK fiduciary guidelines environmental and safe guides;
• Facilitation of liaison synergies and networking agencies to relevant departments; and
• Implements steering committees with the county.
