Job Description

Bio Foods is a Dairy Company pioneering new concepts in products and packaging within the East African and Sub Saharan Region since inception. Currently leading in the functional dairy foods segment in the region and assisting the population in reaping benefits in health.

Summary

  • The Project Lead will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing project activities from inception to completion. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • In partnership with the Bio Foods Team Lead, marketing department and Dairy Development team, the Project Team lead will be responsible for overall development of go-to-market strategies for the project, production of all project marketing collateral -Information Packages, marketing content, website planning and development and planning of marketing campaigns.
  • The contract will have an initial duration of 6 months and may be renewed based on the availability of funding. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance as outlined in the scope of work for the USAID Aflatoxin Awareness Project.

Key responsibilities: –

  • Develop project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and expectations.
  • Ensure project compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the Communication strategy and campaign for the project as per indicated outcomes and project objectives\

Oversee the following: –

  • Development of information packages
  • Development of marketing content and collateral
  • Development of training material
  • Development of website
  • Planning of marketing campaigns
  • Stakeholder communication: Internal and External stakeholder engagement
  • Leverage national and county engagement platforms to disseminate consumer and value chain information, to deliver against set objectives
  • Monitoring and evaluation: Strictly adhere to project budget and plans, ensuring monitoring and evaluation is adhered to according to project protocol and set objectives, creating and submitting timely and accurate reports
  • Organize key information dissemination platforms from grassroots-farmers, barazas, county and national platforms

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Project Lead or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and experience in the dairy industry is a plus
  • Project Management Certification or a related certification is a plus
  • Experience in NGO project management is a bonus

Professional Experience

  • Must have experience in driving Behaviour change marketing initiatives
  • Over 10 years’ experience in project management, marketing and communications-driving marketing and communication initiatives from end-to-end.
