Summary

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of various projects, managing partnerships, coordinating resources, and ensuring the achievement of project objectives within specified timelines. Your role will involve strategic planning, stakeholder management, and fostering collaborations to enhance the organization’s impact and reach.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective measures as needed.

Partnership Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with organizations such as UNHCR, GIZ, OXFAM, UKAID-WKSP, NGO’s, UN Agencies, Corporates, and Government Bodies.
  • Negotiate and establish Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and mutual benefits.
  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to expand the organization’s reach and impact.

Resource Coordination and Financial Management:

  • Develop project budgets, conduct cost estimation, and oversee budget allocations to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, ensuring timely acquisition of necessary resources and materials.
  • Monitor project expenditures, track financial performance, and prepare periodic reports for stakeholders.

Capacity Building and Training:

  • Provide training and capacity-building support to project staff and beneficiaries, equipping them with necessary skills and knowledge for project implementation.
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and educational sessions on topics related to MHM Education, Tailoring Education, Entrepreneurship Education, and other project areas.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, partners, donors, and beneficiaries.
  • Develop and disseminate project updates, reports, and key messages to relevant stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and events, advocating for project goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, International Development, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in project management, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
  • Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated success in managing diverse project teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and digital platforms for project management and communication.
  • Familiarity with the principles of gender equality, inclusion, and sustainable development.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
