Job Description

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for coordinating and supervising servicing, repairs, and maintenance works across production, warehousing, laboratory, and facilities. The role ensures machinery is maintained to achieve operational efficiency, productivity, and compliance with cGMP standards, SHE requirements, and product quality standards.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Machine Service & Maintenance Management:

  • Coordinate and supervise preventive/proactive equipment servicing and repair.
  • Guide machine operators on autonomous maintenance.
  • Raise purchase orders in ERP for maintenance works and parts.
  • Manage workshop.

Compliance & Supervision:

  • Supervise in-house technicians and outsourced service providers for compliance with GMP & SHE regulations.
  • Document repairs, service, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure proper use of appropriate PPEs.
  • Review maintenance operational documents.

People Leadership & Development:

  • Train, coach, and appraise maintenance technicians.
  • Manage day-to-day duties, leave approvals, and disciplinary actions.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare budget proposals and manage maintenance expenses within the approved budget.

Customer Service/Focus:

  • Develop and monitor equipment/system reliability measures to ensure smooth production operations.

Equipment Qualifications:

  • Develop equipment qualification protocols and reports.

Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate and timely periodic production reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in equipment maintenance in a GMP manufacturing environment handling mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel & Ms PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements and skills.
