The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is leading Africa-based, African-led, international research institution headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, and conducting policy-relevant research on population, health, education, urbanization and related development issues on the continent

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct key informant and in depth interviews.
• Conduct online interviews and make follow-ups on incomplete interviews.
• Write and submit comprehensive notes of data collection and any other observations.
• Any other task assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in a health-related discipline.
• Proven experience in qualitative data collection – i.e. conducting key informant interviews and in depth interviews.
• Experience in conducting desk reviews.
• Knowledge of scientific publishing and/or journals landscape will be an added advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and report-writing skills.
• Ability to pay attention to details.
• Must be fully available for the engagement period
