Job Description

Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a registered trust of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK) with the mandate to provide reliable, quality and affordable essential drugs, medical supplies, training and other pharmaceutical services.

Summary

The position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that all products adhere to established quality standards, and maintain legal compliance, for customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Investigation quality-related complaints and suspected adverse drug events for customer satisfaction.
  • Sample products from the warehouse for analytical testing and retain relevant records.
  • Sample and inspect commodities delivered by suppliers for compliance.
  • Sample and inspect returns from clients and recalls.
  • Update supplier performance records on quality-related issues
  • File and keep custody of product and technical information received from existing and prospective suppliers
  • Retain Quality Assurance records
  • Complete Quality Assurance audits.
  • Monitor temperature and relative humidity during receiving, storage and distribution of health commodities
  • Participate in prequalification of suppliers and products

Job requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products
  • Diploma in Pharmacy and enrolled with Pharmacy & Poisons Board.
  • Functional skills: analytical skills, organizational skills, keen to detail and report writing
  • Behavioural competencies and attitude: High level of integrity, interpersonal relations, self-driven
