Job Purpose

• Operating imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images, positioning patients, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures, while also maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare, position, and guide patients through imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate and manage radiographic equipment (X- ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound) using appropriate techniques and settings.
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images and maintain accurate records within EMR and PACS systems.
• Monitor patients during procedures, respond to any distress, and ensure adherence to safety and radiation protection protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals for image interpretation and care planning.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment,
• reporting any issues promptly.
• Participate in quality improvement, training, and professional development initiatives.
• Support junior staff and uphold professional, ethical standards in patient care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Professional Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences Registration by Radiation Protection Boards.
