Job Description

The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of water related equipment in the East African region. Founded in 1946, business activities are focused on six principal product sectors – Water Pumps, Boreholes, Swimming Pools, Water Treatment, Generators and Solar Equipment.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: –

  • IoT and Pump Controllers electronics design, documentation, test and deployment.
  • Electronics component selection and evaluation for existing and new products.
  • Support production setup for electronic products.
  • Continual improvement of products using data from field.
  • Quality control and assurance.
  • Coordinating pilot projects implementation and new products testing.

Qualification and Experience: –

  • Must have a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution.
  • Proven experience in electronics design, preferably in the field of IoT and/or embedded systems
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium/ Eagle.
  • Strong knowledge of IoT tech stack, microcontrollers, sensors, wireless communication protocols and power management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Project management skills including ability to organize, schedule, prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Possess high personal and professional integrity.
  • Strong relational intelligence, interpersonal, communication and writing skills
