Kenya Leather Development Council (KLDC) seeks to employ competent people for join their work force. Find Job details below :

1. Manager (Promotions & Marketing)

Responsibilities

  • Initiate development and review of promotion and marketing leather policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement promotion and market programmes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for optimal facilitation of business in leather sector.
  • Conduct market research to identify new markets, emerging demands and customer preferences.
  • Assess the impact of promotion and marketing on MSMES productivity.

2. Manager (Capacity Building)

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities will entail:

  • Carrying out training needs assessment in leather value chain.
  • Ensure the training Centres are operational and well maintained.
  • Carrying out the identification/recruitment of MSMEs to be trained in production of leather and leather products.
  • Advising on development and revision of training curriculum and materials.

3. Director (Corporate Services)

Responsibilities

Reports to the CEO in all matters related to Corporate Services in the Council.

The specific duties will entail:-

  • Overseeing the forecasting and planning of Human Resource and Administration, Corporate Communications and ICT needs.
  • Overseeing the implementation of human resource and ICT regulations and circulars as issued from time to time by the Government.

4. Director (Technical Services)

Responsibilities

Reports to the CEO in all matters related to technical issues in the Council.

The specific duties will entail coordinating:-

  • The development and review of leather sector policies, standards and guidelines.
  • The establishment and management of Leather Parks and Training Centres (Centres of Excellence).
  • Identification and recruiting MSMEs to be trained in production of leather and leather products.

5. Senior ICT Officer

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-

  • Installing and maintaining computer systems.
  • Analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing computer programs.
  • Configuring local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
  • Providing user support.

6. Principal Internal Auditor

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  • Developing a comprehensive programme of engagement coverage for assigned areas.
  • Ensuring conformity to acceptable standards, plans, budgets and schedules.
  • Assisting in the preparation of specific audit assignment plans and programmes.
  • Performing audit tests on the internal controls in accounting, administrative and operational procedures.
  • Ensuring that the audit findings are properly documented.
