Job Description

Refrigeration Technician

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Maintaining, installing, and servicing refrigeration cold rooms
  2. Troubleshooting and overhauling ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  3. Monitor body refrigerators’ temperature every morning for corrective action to avoid decomposition of bodies.
  4. Repair body refrigerators in case of breakdown.
  5. Repair and service of the air conditioning at the Funeral Home.
  6. Ensure all the extract and Suction Fans are working.
  7. Lubrication of dressing tables and hydraulic lifter machines.
  8. Assist in the repair of Hydraulic at the Funeral Home.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or any related field from a recognized institution.
  2. A mean grade of C (Plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) or its equivalent.
  3. Proficiency in computer applications.
  4. At least two years of experience in handling body fridges in a Funeral Home.
