Job Description

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water,sanitation and hygiene sectors. The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs

SUMMARY

Are you excited about starting your HR career and want to be part of a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply for our HR Intern position. The purpose of this internship is to provide a learning opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in the field of HR.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist HR professionals in administrative tasks, such as maintaining employee records both physical and electronics, preparing documents, and organizing files.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and updating of employee records and HR databases.
  • Coordinate invites and logistics for training, workshops, webinars or meetings
  • Learn role and provide the support for virtual, facilitated trainings and workshops. This involves partnering with the Facilitator and providing technical support within Teams and using other tools like Mentimeter; Google Slides, etc.
  • Support the HR audit process
  • Provide administrative support with recruitment invitations, and scheduling of interviews

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in HR or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
