Regional Manager

The Regional Manager will drive Growth by providing direction and focus through establishment of clear goals consistent with overall TMD strategy for his distributor and Area Team, drive productivity by ensuring that his/ her team makes commercial decisions that impact positively on both Short term and long term bottom line results through leveraging on risks and opportunities, drives responsibility by ensuring that team and distributor act within laws and all activities are guided by CORA and Legal, drives a winning organization by building enthusiasm, change, passion, team development and coaching.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  •  Delivery of the West of Kenya performance objectives which currently account for approx. 35% of Kenya volume and value in FMC and 40% NC
  • Successfully manage the secondary supply chain, ensure order cycles, deliveries are adhered to
  • Delivery of core TM&D objectives – availability, visibility, volume, mix, margin, quality and price management.
  • Manage the Distributor to ensure adoption & adaptation of appropriate route to market models
  • Manage allocated NBSE budget and activities to ensure effective delivery of set out objectives
  • Ensure own and team adherence to all the outlined company policies & relevant controls
  • Develop and maintain a valid, practical and ready for execution BCP/LDP plan for the assigned territory
  • Ensure that TM&D team is well trained and motivated
  • Closely monitor distributor’s performance within allocated area

What are we looking for?

  • Business degree in Business Administration / Marketing, an MBA will be desirable for this role.
  • Minimum of 10 years total experience in the field. At least 6 years’ experience in tobacco or a similar FMCG category
  • Have a clear understanding of the above market framework and new way of working.
  • Have a clear understanding of the Route To Market way of working
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain & Finance
  • Ability to engage with high level internal & external partners/stakeholders (Customers, Agencies, Government officials, Suppliers).
  • Proven people leadership skills with ability to motivate and energize field force team.
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
