Job Description

Regional Relationship Officer – Cooperatives (Nyeri)

PURPOSE:

Generate revenue from the co-operative market through effective relationship management of the co-operative customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGEMENT

  • Generating new business across the 3 subsidiaries from the co-operative market.
  • Achieve retention rate of 85% in group life and general businesses.
  • Growing existing co-operative customers through cross selling and products premium reviews.
  • Ensure prompt premium collection.
  • Timely service delivery to clients through liaison with various departments within the organization.
  • Represent the company in co-operative functions- AGMs’, Education days, Board meetings.
  • Promptly attend to client queries, complaints and concerns.
  • Gathering market intelligence that will help in developing, improving and tailor making products & services to give CIC a competitive advantage.
  • Submit timely and accurate reports within the set timelines.
  • Constantly updating customers on company processes and procedures.
  • Promoting CIC brand and visibility by making regular visits to co-operative customers.
  • Ensuring timely collection and loading of loan schedules.

AUDIT, COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT

  • Strict adherence to all regulations, statutes, standards, practices and all internal processes and procedures as per the relevant manuals and comply with all relevant external legislation and regulations with regard to Compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that as a staff you actively contribute to the division attaining a “good” rating in both internal and external audit by performing your role to the required standards and adhering to all internal processes and procedures as per relevant manuals, policies and regulations of the Company.
  • Ensure that all risk management requirements within your remit are addressed and where necessary escalated through the available defined channels.

Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Behavioural Competencies

Academic and Professional Requirements

Education  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Computer literate in MS Office and other office applications

Professional Qualification

  • Certification in either of the following; ACII, AIIK or COP

Experience Required:

Required years of experience

  • One year Relevant experience
  • Experience in cooperative leadership is an added advantage
