Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:

• Searching for literature in electronic databases and other sources.
• Extracting data or information from selected primary studies using recommended tools.
• Resolving data discrepancies identified during data extraction and cleaning up of data sets.
• Quality assessment of included studies.
• Conducting preliminary meta-analyses under the guidance of the PI.
• Participate in the preparation and review of manuscript(s) for peer-review submission.
• Any other duties assigned by the Principal investigator.

Vacancy Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines :- Biomedical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Sciences, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health or any other human health science from a recognized Institution;
• Have at least one year of experience in public health research;
• Have experience with evidence synthesis, data collection /or meta-analysis;
• Proficiency in computer application.
