Job Description

Location: Doha, Qatar

Job type: Full-Time

Job Description/Requirements

  1. MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS REPORTS 
    Responsible for preparation of an accurate set of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual management accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods for presentation to the Managing Trustee during monthly meetings.  The reports will highlight the financial performance of the business for decision making.
  2. STATUTORY RETURNS        
    Responsible for preparation and filing of monthly statutory returns and catering levy before the respective deadlines. Ensure the restaurant is compliant to the authority policies.
  3. PAYROLL       
    Responsible for monthly preparation and execution of the payroll on or before 26th day of every month.
  4. PAYMENT       
    Responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable. Audit all supporting documents before processing invoices. Timely processing and payment of creditors which should be reconciled by respective statement of accounts
    Responsible for managing the petty cash accounts
    Responsible for preparing and updating the cashbook
  5. GENERAL LEDGER
    Responsible for posting all transactions in the General Ledger to facilitate preparation of monthly management accounts before monthly meetings with the Managing Trustee.
  6. BANK RECONCILIATIONS 
    Responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliations by the 5th of the following month.
  7. FINANCIAL REPORTING
    Responsible for the preparation of quarterly financial statements together with relevant schedules, their presentation to the board and providing all information required by the auditors.
    Oversee annual audits.
  8. FIXED ASSETS
    Maintain an up to date fixed assets register
  9. STOCK TAKING       
    To participate in stock taking on 1st of every month with the storekeeper and Chef
  10. 1 SUPERVISION
    Overall responsible for the supervision, performance evaluation, discipline, and allocation of duties to the other members of staff in the Accounts Department.
  11. SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    Assisting in preparing budgets and business planning.
    Maintaining internal control by preparing policies and procedures
    Any other duties specified by the Restaurant Manager from time to time.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
•    Accounting professional Qualification is desirable
•    Degree in Finance or Accounting
•    At least 3 years’ experience in accounting
•    Experience using at least one accounting system
•    Have excellent English communication skills both written and spoken
•    Excellent interpersonal skills
•    Strong organizational and planning skills
•    Computer proficient especially MS Office
