Job Description

Gap Recruitment Services Limited is a leading recruitment firm in Kenya where International and local companies find just the right fit talent.

Job Purpose:

  • As the Sales Manager reporting directly to the CEO and based in Kisumu, your role will be pivotal in propelling revenue growth and securing the overall success of the company. Your key responsibilities include contributing to the formulation and execution of sales strategies to meet company targets. Additionally, you will take charge of leading and inspiring our sales team within the construction materials production industry.
  • Your primary focus will be on driving sales, nurturing customer relationships, and attaining departmental objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in steering the sales team towards achieving collective goals and contributing to the continued success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals in the construction materials production industry.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
    • Provide ongoing training and development to the sales team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, contractors, and partners.
    • Identify and prioritize customer needs and collaborate with the production and customer service teams to meet those needs effectively.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
    • Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets to support production planning and inventory management.
  • Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to the CEO.

New Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand our reach and increase revenue.
  • Recognise customer needs and provide insights for improving the product portfolio based on interactions with and feedback from customers

Requirements:

  • Over five years of demonstrated expertise in sales management within a corporate environment.
  • Proven track record of success across the entire sales process, from strategic planning to successful deal closure.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Consistent achievement in previous roles as a sales representative or sales manager, surpassing set targets (preferably with similar industry experience for added advantage).
  • Possesses a strong business acumen and deep industry expertise.
