The Kenya National Examinations Council (also referred to as KNEC or the Council) was established in 1980 under the Kenya National Examinations Council Act Cap 225A of the Laws of Kenya. This Act (Cap 225A of 1980) was repealed in 2012 and replaced with KNEC Act No. 29 of 2012.

The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:

• Coordinating the implementation of sales activities.
• Preparing regular reports on sales and trends for decision-making.
• Preparing monthly operation reports for management.
• Setting sales targets to forecast current and future production capacities.
• Participating in the development of budgets for sales and marketing support activities.
• Monitoring and controlling sales and marketing expenditure.
• Initiating procurement of reports and products for sale.
• Organizing exhibitions to promote the council’s services and products.
• Following up on debts and recommending necessary actions to the debt collection committee.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related discipline or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrated merit in work performance.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution for successful applicants.
