Job Description

Job Purpose:
As a Sales Officer, you will play a crucial role in the financial and commercial development of all Community Health Entrepreneurs (CHEs). Your responsibilities include achieving sales targets through effective implementation of Healthy Entrepreneurs (HE) models, monitoring and evaluating CHE performance, facilitating payments, capacity building of CHEs and Cluster Coordinators, and maintaining positive relations with local CHE Workers (CHEWs) and other community focal persons.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Sales:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CHEs through structured communication and engagement.
  • Actively promote products and services offered by Healthy Entrepreneurs.
  • Enter and verify accurate sales orders in the ODOO system.
  • Ensure timely payment of loans and sales orders by assigned CHEs as per payment terms and update in the ERP system and on manual receipts.
  • Reconcile payments in ODOO and manage related administrative tasks.
  • Set and achieve individual and cluster sales targets; propose, introduce, and promote new products; assist with market research.
  • Maximize spot sales, participate in events to boost sales, and initiate additional loans and credits with management approval.
  • Support in debt collection of due and overdue amounts.

 

Capacity Building: 

  • Assist in recruiting and selecting new CHEs.
  • Ensure effective understanding and implementation of the HE model by CHEs.
  • Develop plans and budgets for training sessions and create rewarding and incentive initiatives.
  • Monitor performance of CHEs and Cluster Coordinators, communicate results, and create retention plans to maintain a healthy CHE network.

Data Accuracy: 

  • Maintain accurate master data for CHEs and Cluster Coordinators in the ODOO system.
  • Reconcile payments and field activities promptly and accurately.
  • Handle customer complaints or comments in the CRM system.

 

Administration: 

  • Coordinate with the warehouse for order picking and packing.
  • Manage sales order handovers, product returns, and cancellations effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Finance department for complex financial transactions.

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Actively engage in staff meetings and general office management tasks.
  • Support the team in managing operational and financial issues.
  • Aim for potential growth of the CHE network and foster collaboration with HE Kenya and other regional teams.
  • Conduct ad hoc activities related to implementation as needed and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  •  Establish and maintain positive partnerships with sub-county Ministry of Health officials and local partners.

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship, Commerce, Marketing, Sales, or Public Health.
    2-4 years of experience in a relevant field.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Commitment and passion for the role.
  • Integrity and accuracy in data management.
  • Knowledge of relevant apps, dashboards, surveys, and public health.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/Financial systems.
