Gap Recruitment Services Limited is a leading recruitment firm in Kenya where International and local companies find just the right fit talent.

Purpose:

The Sales Team Leader for the Field Sales Team plays a critical role in driving revenue growth by supervising a team of dynamic sales agents in the field. This role involves providing support strategic direction, coaching, and support to ensure the sales team meets and exceeds their targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision:

  • Lead, inspire, and guide a team of sales agents to achieve individual and team sales quotas and objectives.
  • Support in implementing strategies to drive sales performance, revenue growth, and market penetration.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor and analyse sales metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Share sales performance reports on a timely basis
  • Identify and celebrate sales excellence regularly
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, one-on-one meetings, and provide constructive feedback to maximise individual and team effectiveness.
  • Drive utilisation of technology and APP usage by sales agents

Sales Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals and market trends.
  • Identify new business opportunities, target markets, and potential areas for expansion in coordination with the sales team.

Market Insights:

  • Gather and share market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights to help shape product development and sales strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive landscape to make informed decisions.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Address escalated customer concerns and inquiries promptly to ensure a positive customer experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other relevant departments to align sales strategies with broader business initiatives.
  • Share field insights with internal teams to contribute to the refinement of product offerings and market positioning.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience 4 years in sales, with a track record of successfully supervising field sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, strategies, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to motivate, influence, and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and trends to drive decision-making.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales management tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with sales agents and clients in the field.
