Job Description

Mini Group is a dynamic, multi-industry conglomerate with a strong presence across East Africa. We specialize in diverse sectors including baking, real estate, construction, telecommunications, energy, auto spares, hospitality, manufacturing, trading, and microfinance.

Salesperson

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Management

  • Manage assigned Tier 2 chain accounts (e.g., Transmatt, Kibuyematt, Kisiimatt, Eldomatt, Dhoni, etc.) across the Western and Nyanza regions.
  • Secure account openings and negotiate favourable trade terms.
  • Achieve monthly sales value targets across all product categories.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and resolve service issues.
  • Expand SKU penetration and secure new listings in existing accounts.

Promotion & Merchandising Execution

  • Coordinate with the Merchandise Team to implement approved promotions and activations.
  • Monitor in-store visibility, placement of POS materials, and planogram compliance.
  • Track promotional performance and report weekly on sales uplift and execution gaps.
  • Conduct post-promotion analysis with Sales Administration to verify ROI.
  • Facilitate product knowledge sessions with retail partners using GBL product manuals.

Finance & Compliance

  • Follow up on collections in line with approved credit policies.
  • Reconcile promotional claims, rebates, and discounts before submission to Finance.
  • Maintain accurate sales documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.

Reporting & Market Insights

  • Submit timely weekly reports on sales performance, outlet growth, and competitor activities.
  • Provide actionable market intelligence and feedback on promotions, pricing, and consumer trends.
  • Recommend strategies for improving route-to-market and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in FMCG sales, preferably in Modern Trade.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding regional sales targets.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
