Job Description

Maintenance & Support We ensure that your equipment is in good working condition to enable you to run your operations with minimum disruptions. We will work with you to come up with the solution that best fits your requirements as we understand a ‘one size fits all’ solution is not always the best solution. Safety Audits We offer you specialised safety audits both above and below ground (LPG pipe-works and Tanks), giving you peace of mind and allowing you to run your business with the confidence of knowing you have complied with safety and environmental standards. Installations & Conversions We will perform installations of LPG equipment on your premises (tanks, pipes, etc) and also aid with converting your current operations to a bespoke LPG solution that will get you running effeciently in the least time possible.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in mechanical engineering or any relevant certificate.
  • 5 years’ experience in painting.
  • Strong learning aptitude required because 85% of the knowledge required must be learned on the job.
  • Working knowledge on marking, measurement, tools.
  • Ability to use wet film gauge and dry film gauge.
  • Work experience in surface preparation for painting.
  • Good conduct certificate.

Job Role

  • Operate the blasting pot.
  • Dry/prepare sand for blasting.
  • Operate and maintain airless spraying machine.
  • Operate and maintain hand spraying gun.
  • Accurately use measuring jugs for proper use of paint.
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be painted.
  • Confer with supervisors and QAQC to resolve blasting and painting problems.
  • Respond quickly to priority changes and work well under pressure due to scheduling constraints and perform quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Function as a viable member of the fabrication team.
  • Maintain accurate records of regular safety checks on machine, tools conditions, product quality and quantity produced.
  • Troubleshoot problems, system abnormalities and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Train new painters on proper safety and production procedures.
  • Liaise with QC/QA and supervisor, identify correct painting procedures.
  • Report any incidents or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with co-workers, supervisors, and management.
  • Grow, learn, knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Any other duty as will be assigned by immediate supervisor.
