Scheduling Coordinator

About the Role

  • We are a leader in home health and are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Scheduling Coordinator to join our Care Manager team. This role is essential to delivering a higher level of care by ensuring strong compatibility between clients and caregivers while maintaining high standards of customer and employee satisfaction.
  • The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, responsive, and thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment with complex scheduling demands. Prior experience in healthcare or medical administration is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Caregiver Coordination

  • Provide exceptional customer service and sales support to clients, families, caregivers, and referral sources
  • Communicate clearly, efficiently, and compassionately with clients, caregivers, physicians, and discharge nurses
  • Protect and promote the integrity and reputation of the company

Scheduling & Staffing

  • Manage ongoing client staffing and scheduling for new and existing engagements
  • Ensure compatible client‑caregiver matches
  • Manage staff absences and last‑minute schedule changes to maintain full coverage
  • Conduct new client intakes and onboarding coordination

Operations & Case Management

  • Answer and manage office phone communications professionally
  • Perform case management activities as required
  • Arbitrate employment‑related issues affecting field staff and clients
  • Complete administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, and office coordination

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional telephone presence with warmth and empathy
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Highly motivated self‑starter with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills

Education & Experience

  • College degree preferred
  • Prior experience in medical, healthcare, or home health environments strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong customer service background
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex scheduling demands
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
