Job Description

Brainston Kindergarten is a Private School offering the 2.6.6.3 Competency Based Curriculum (CBC). Our main focus is the education of your child in all aspects.

SUMMARY

  • To provide effective and efficient administrative financial support, to the accounts director, for the efficient conduct of the school’s administrative affairs
  • To assist in running and organizing the school transport department
  • To assist in the school library as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • A Diploma or Certificate in business administration, customer care, or related field
  • 1-2 years working in a school office environment
  • Good administrative and computer skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the school accounts office to ensure complaints are handled on time
  • Organize library materials and maintain an accurate inventory of books, periodicals, and other library materials
  • Issue and receive library books accordingly, ensuring that damaged books are recorded and submitted to the management team for repair and/or replacement
  • Handle transport complaints that may arise from parents, teachers, students, and/or drivers
  • Assist in organizing school transport, maintaining accurate student transport lists for each vehicle
  • Communicate regularly with the management team regarding progress, arising issues in the library & transport departments
  • Protect the confidentiality of records and information about students and staff, and use discretion when sharing any such information within legal confines.
  • Assist with other office-related duties like answering phone calls, printing, scanning, laminating, filing, and running errands
  • Key data into the school management system, and ensure it is updated and accurate
  • Attend and participate in relevant school meetings as required
  • Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
  • Ensure compliance with set school policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the school
