About the role:

• Strathmore School is looking for an experienced and passionate Sports Teacher to join its team. The successful candidate will deliver sports-related learning within the CBE curriculum, coach school teams, and play a central role in the school’s wider sports programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver curricular activities in sports-related learning areas within the CBE curriculum.
• Coach school teams in at least two sports.
• Support the Sports Department in delivering the school’s overall sports programme.
• Oversee and coordinate the training and participation of school teams in internal and external competitions.

Qualifications and Experience

Required

• A minimum of C+ at O-Level (KCSE or equivalent).
• A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education with Sports as a teaching subject.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated high-level coaching experience in at least two sports.
• Valid TSC (Teachers Service Commission) registration.
• Certificate of good conduct.

Essential Coaching Specializations

• Basketball, Rugby, Hockey, or Football; coaching qualifications in any of these will be a strong advantage.

Added Advantage

• Experience coaching at both primary and secondary school level.
• Experience preparing candidates for KPSEA and KJSEA in sports-related learning areas.
