Roles & Responsibilities:

Pre-dive preparations:

• Assist in cleaning and maintaining dive equipment.
• Participate in cleaning the dive room.
• Help fill dive cylinders with compressed air.

Underwater tasks:

• Conduct inspections of nets and mooring lines as outlined in the daily dive plan.
• Assist with the exchange of equipment used in offshore aquaculture operations.
• Remove any dead organisms from the seafloor to maintain a healthy underwater environment.
• Help deploy and secure anchors for various underwater structures.
• Recover lost equipment when necessary, ensuring diver safety.
• Assist with underwater rope work for various tasks.
• Conduct hull cleaning of dive boats to maintain efficiency and minimize marine growth.
• Assist in assembling underwater grids for aquaculture or research purposes.

Safety first!

• You will be rigorously trained in all safety protocols and procedures for underwater diving.
• You will be responsible for adhering to these protocols at all times to ensure the safety of yourself and the entire dive team.

Requirements

Skills and qualifications:

• Certified Scuba diver with demonstration of safe diving practices and a passion for the underwater world.
• Minimum of High School Diploma (KCSE)
• Strong swimming skills and excellent breath-holding ability.
• Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
