ABOUT THE ROLE

• The company is seeking to recruit a search engine marketing and search engine optimization specialist.
• The person will be responsible for managing all the SEO activities including content strategy, link building, and keyword strategy to increase client ranking on all major search engines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for all the search engine marketing campaigns on Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute content strategies aligned with client objectives and target audience preferences including content promotion across various channels (social media and email partnerships) to maximize reach and engagement.
• Good understanding of how search engines function
• Develop and execute an SEO strategy that covers both content and technical tactics.
• Conduct a technical SEO audit to improve organic rankings and carry out updates on client websites to improve their ranking.
• Conduct keyword research, analyze SEO trends, and optimize content for improved search engine rankings and organic traffic growth.
• Ensure content adheres to regulatory standards, copyright laws, and brand guidelines.
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify content gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities for differentiation.
• Monitor and analyze content performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush and similar platforms and using the insights to refine content strategies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, content marketing best practices, and algorithm changes to adapt strategies accordingly.
• Manage content calendars, editorial workflows, and project timelines to ensure timely and consistent delivery of content.
• Generate regular reports showcasing content performance metrics, ROI analysis, and recommendations for improvement.
• Explore and recommend innovative content formats, such as interactive content and technologies to enhance user engagement and SEO effectiveness.
• Conduct meetings and sessions with clients as and when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• A Degree or Diploma in any field
• Good knowledge of website development – HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of any backend software development language – Python, PHP, Ruby, NodeJS will be an added advantage.
• Proven SEO experience
• Proven success in link-building and viral strategies
• Proven success and experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving site ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs).
• Up-to-date working knowledge of past, current, and projected trends in the SEO industry.
• Familiarity with the best tools in the trade
• A background in creating reports showing web analytics data and site evaluations
• Must have a strong online presence and a passion for the web.
• Excellent online research skills
• Proactive and self-motivated
• A fast learner. Must have the willingness and ability to research, learn, and apply new ideas quickly.
• Good command of English – both oral and written communication
