Key Responsibilities:

Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

• Identify and assess potential investment opportunities in Africa through market research and networking.
• Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, industry research, and risk assessment.
• Prepare investment memos and present findings to the investment committee.

Transaction Execution:

• Collaborate with senior team members in structuring and negotiating investment deals.
• Assist in drafting legal documents and agreements.
• Manage the closing process, ensuring all required documentation is complete.

Portfolio Management:

• Monitor and actively manage portfolio companies, tracking financial performance and operational metrics.
• Work with portfolio company management teams to drive value creation initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of exit strategies.

Market Research and Analysis:

• Stay updated on industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes in African markets.
• Provide insights and analysis to support investment decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience in private equity or direct investing
• Strong financial modelling and analysis skills.
• Knowledge of African markets and the ability to evaluate investment opportunities within the region.
