Kisii County is one of the forty seven Counties of Kenya. It shares common borders with Nyamira County to the North East, Narok County to the South and Homabay and Migori Counties to the West.

Requirements for Appointment

• Be a Kenyan Citizen.
• Holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university;
• Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Council of Legal Education;
• Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya for at least three (3) years and have a current practicing certificate;
• Must be a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK);
• Must meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010;
• Proficiency in computer applications;
• Possess legal research skills.

The duties and responsibilities include: –

• Shall, on the instructions of the county attorney represent the county executive in court or in any other legal proceedings to which the county executive is a party, other than criminal proceedings.
• Analyzing research data and compiling reports
• Undertaking law review
• Interpreting legal instruments and statutes.
• Perform any other function that may be assigned from time to time
