Purpose

  • Direct line manager, who will offer ongoing support and supervision, as well as the conduit to the Management Board
  • Determine work priorities; schedule work assignments; select, orient, train, evaluate work performance and recommend associated personnel action; provide staff with clear and concise written guidelines.
  • Implement internal work procedures and policies consistent with overall company goals and objectives
  • Manage and maintain these strategic alliances

Job Purpose

  • The Senior Product Manager will drive the design and delivery of 4G Capital products, ensuring they have known customer and business value. They will ensure continuous improvement to the overall combination of services provided to the customer in order to maximize market penetration, growth, and profitability, through an enhanced experience

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To lead and offer innovative products that meet 4G Capital customers’ needs and experience to grow the company’s market share.
  •  Creating product vision – you will own an area of 4G Capital product and within this create a vision which aligns with the wider business strategy. This vision will incorporate the perspectives of other teams including tech and operations, and be known throughout 4GC.
  •  Creation and maintenance of product roadmap – you will own the roadmap for your product(s), ensuring it is groomed and ready for development. The roadmap will incorporate the perspectives of other teams and be known throughout 4GC.
  •  Agile product design and delivery – you will form a key part of the scrum team, working closely with the scrum-master and tech lead to ensure the vision and roadmap are well documented and communicated.
  •  Stakeholder management, including the ability to present at the most senior level, and to constructively challenge where appropriate.
  • Collaboration; product should be the most highly collaborative team in the business and it’s your responsibility to model and create these behaviors.
  •  Prioritization; there are often many conflicting priorities and therefore the ability to determine what activity is most important is key. This will always be based on a combination of customer value, business value and technical feasibility.

Required Skills for a Senior Product Manager

  • Experience of agile product delivery; working knowledge of key tools (JIRA etc), language and roles.
  • Experience of working with engineers; working knowledge of key engineering phases (QA, testing etc); experience working closely with API products is desirable.
  • Experience of design tools and/or working with designers; working knowledge of design tools (Figma, Invision, Sketch etc) and/or experience of working with colleagues using
  • these tools.
  •  Highly motivated, highly organized, creative, and able to work with limited supervision and deliver within tight time frames.
  •  You will have several years’ experience in a similar environment in a similar role, with evidence of products that you have delivered to customers.
  •  Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies.
  •  Creativity; evidence of problem solving and creative thinking when faced with a challenge.
  • Documentation; the ability to write and communicate clearly will enable other teams to be more productive.
  • Experience of using customer centric tools and processes; to ensure we’re designing products that help our customers you will need to have experience of collecting customer feedback, documenting personas, and bringing customer data into the product life cycle.
