Your Background and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent command of English language is required.
  • Experience writing reports and other external communications.
  • Experience developing monitoring and evaluation systems and tools.
  • Some technical knowledge of gender equity and social inclusion (GESI) and positive youth development (PYD).
  • Work experience may include internships or part-time job or combination of both.
  • Interest in/motivation to learn about program monitoring and evaluation.
  • Strong writing, reporting, and data-story telling skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-project management skills.
  • Leadership and coordination skills to oversee global MEL activities and data management.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proactive in communication, responsibilities and sharing knowledge/resources with colleagues.

  • Experience working with data management, data visualization, and/or survey platforms is not required, but a plus.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Supporting the MEL plan design, build out, and implementation across multiple countries.
  • Coordinating global implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) plan.
  • Managing data collection, submission, and management on digital platforms.
  • Regularly cleans and transforms global data for visualization and analysis.
  • Supporting the MEL Officer to provide training on data collection and reporting protocols to all team members and partners, who are responsible for collecting data to ensure that all MEL data is properly collected and routinely entered and stored in a secure database.
  • Coordinates with implementing partners and team members regularly to provide guidance and support for international team on monitoring and evaluation activities and data collection.
  • Conducting regular spot checks and data quality assessments to ensure that data collection processes are proceeding efficiently and as planned.
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external reports.
  • Building out survey and assessment tools on platforms such as Activity Info or Alchemer.
  • Supporting data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Managing a communication plan, coordinating the global team to submit stories, pictures, and quotes, to publish in various internal and external methods.
  • Creating educational resources to promote program objectives and activities in each country.
  • Developing and organizing resource libraries for the project.
  • Tracking financial processing including invoices, stipends, and other payments.
  • Supporting global operations, program start-up, day-to-day activities, and closeout in multiple countries.
  • Creating, overseeing, and implementing SHE’s GREAT! storytelling through various platforms like IREX newsletters, external pieces on the IREX website, and the SHE’s GREAT! Instagram account.
  • Communicating daily/weekly with partners, facilitators, and participants.
  • Maintaining effective relations and coordination with program partners.
  • Facilitating communication on project implementation between the implementing organization both country offices and the DC office.
  • Researching and/or writing summaries of project activities and results including quarterly and other program reports for donor.
  • Providing input to or lead presentations, and other products.
  • Supporting program internal and external communication; tasks may include, the management of email inboxes and program contact information, draft written communications, contribute to program communication tools (newsletters) and social media efforts.
  • Outreach to potential partners and local stakeholders.
  • Drafting request for proposal and scopes of work and contracts for consultants, staff and partner agreements.
  • Tracking and screening applicants abiding by funder and IREX policies and protocols.
  • Draft correspondence with stakeholders. Guidance and/or approval before engaging stakeholders may be required.
  • MEL Tool Management and Quality Assurance.
  • Alchemer Tool adaptation and support.
  • Global MEL support including co-facilitation of Facilitator Learning Dialogues, review of Country Assessments, and updating MEL guidelines and resources.
  • Accurately perform financial administration tasks (check requests, sub-award approval level, procurement, vendor proposals, invoice tracking, etc.). Develop a sound understanding of the purpose and reason for each required task consistent with policies.
  • Financial processing of invoices, sub-grants, sub-awards, honorariums.
  • Process and update financial records.
  • Ensure compliance through all financial process documents.
  • Participate as an active member of the SHE’S GREAT! program, providing administrative and research/MEL support; be an active and proactive MEL coordinator.
  • Support team members in implementing events, training, travel, and product development.
  • Ensure collaboration and information sharing with SHE’s GREAT! team members and implementing partners that are located across several countries.
  • Willingness to learn and grow gender equality and social inclusion topics.
  • May supervise interns or program assistants.
  • Other duties as assigned
