Job Description

Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) is the government parastatal whose responsibility is to assure the quality of agricultural inputs and produce to prevent adverse impact on the economy, the environment and human health.

Duties and responsibilities: – 

  • In charge of the stores;
  • Receiving and issuing stores;
  • Following-up with suppliers on all pending deliveries;
  • Advising on pending orders in the store for replenishment;
  • Filing and maintaining store records;
  • Generating Goods Received Notes (GRN);
  • Sorting, dispatching and filing invoices and other documents;
  • Capturing and processing stores data;
  • Complying with Procurement Act;
  • Preparing requisitions for stocks replenishment; and
  • Monitoring the movement of stores.

Persons Specification 

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

  • Four (4) years’ work relevant work experience as a Supply Chain Management Assistant
  • Diploma in purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) Final or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Proficiency in Computer applications skills;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Compliance with chapter six of the Constitution.
