Main Purpose of the Job- (Job Summary)

The role holder is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, supporting, and upgrading custom developed web-based and mobile systems, websites, and associated interfaces, managing all Level 2 support for the Company’s web-based systems, portals, websites and associated interfaces, supporting the design; development and operation of mobile, web portals and portal-based core business and complementary systems, monitoring and managing the license provision for IP Telephony software and installed enterprise security applications,  attaining the agreed levels of performance for Incident and Problem management as detailed in the appropriate service level agreements including related SLA Management with third party contractors.

Main Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and directing web and mobile software applications and systems
• Managing web and mobile software development lifecycle
• Analysing data, business processes to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or enhancement of existing systems.
• Integrate software components with third-party programs.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade web-based applications.
• Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
• Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media to deliver projects as per business specifications.
• Formalize and enforce the Corporate IT security standards and policies across all system users, infrastructure components, end points and ensure that the IT infrastructure is secure from external and internal attack through monitoring, testing, and following best practice to reduce the risk of any security incidents.
• Evaluating software code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices or operating systems.
• Manage backups for systems under your management and ensure that these are taken and tested as per the Business Continuity Policy.
• Work with back-end developers, designers and others to deliver well-architected and high quality mobile solutions.

Knowledge & Experience

The candidate must demonstrate and possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer) can be a plus.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in software development.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and relevant libraries
• Experience with scripting, automation, or backend development.
• Knowledge of SQL for database management.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS for responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and UI/UX.
• Knowledge of coding languages e.g. C sharp, JavaScript and frameworks
• Experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET, or MVC frameworks.
• Knowledge of data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) or machine learning frameworks for data analysis.
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing
