• Learning Science / Instructional Design Consultant
• Mastery-Based Learning Logic: Define thresholds, retry rules, scaffolding for at least 5 key assessments.
• Competency Mapping: Map all 10 targeted teacher competencies to content and assessments.
• Remediation Pathways: Tag minimum 80% of existing content; create up to 10 new remediation micro-resources.
• Personalized Feedback: Draft targeted feedback for at least 50 priority assessment questions.
• Branching Scenarios: Develop 3 fully mapped branching narratives with decision trees and outcomes.
• Microlearning Formats: Recommend formats for all new How-To guides to
• be interactive.
• Interactive Alignment: Review and suggest improvements for at least 15 interactive elements (popups, callouts).
• Flow Optimization: Break down 100% of long videos (>3 mins) into segments with integrated Check for understanding (CFUs).
• Iterations: Up to 2 full feedback/revision cycles per deliverable.
• User Testing: Participate in 1 round of SME-led user testing.
• Multimedia / Content Creation Consultant
• Video Editing: Segment long animations/videos into 2.5 min clips (target: 10–15 videos).
• Engagement Enhancements: Integrate B-rolls in all edited videos; add CFU after each segment.
• New Assets: Create up to 10 new multimedia assets (slides, infographics, audio clips).
• Format Compliance: Ensure all files meet mobile-first and offline access standards.
• Iterations: Max 2 feedback rounds.
• User Testing: Adjust content based on pilot feedback from 20 teachers.
• 3.3 UI/UX Design Consultant
• User Journeys: Map journeys for all 3 user types (teacher, CSO, admin).
• Wireframes: Create at least 20 redesigned platform screens.
• Onboarding Wizard: Design up to 5 onboarding steps for new users.
• Interactive Design: Prototype 10 popups/tooltips and 5 infographics.
• Analytics Dashboard: Wireframe 1 admin dashboard with at least 6 key metric cards.
• Scenario Layouts: Prototype 3 branching scenario module designs.
• Navigation Improvements: Implement bidirectional navigation rules.
• Developer Handoff: Provide clickable prototype + annotated design files.
• Iterations: Max 2 feedback rounds.
• User Testing: Participate in 1 user testing session with 15 participants.
• Collaboration Rules
• Tools: Figma/XD for design; Google Drive for document sharing;
• Slack/WhatsApp for day-to-day comms.
• Communication Flow: Weekly check-ins; all approvals via Digital Program Officer.
• Final Approver: Learning Design and Innovation Manager for pedagogy;
• Digital Program Officer for platform integration.
• Technical & Accessibility Requirements
• Designs must comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards (color contrast, alt-text, keyboard navigation).
• All work must be mobile-first and optimised for low bandwidth use.
• Localisation: Designs and content should be adaptable to Kenyan context (language, examples, cultural relevance).
• Platform Constraints: All solutions must work within the existing tech stack and hosting environment.
• Compliance & Ethics
• The selected consultant(s) will be required to confirm in writing that:
• They will not accept any assignment that directly conflicts with the objectives of this consultancy during the contract period.
• Any potential conflicts that arise during the consultancy must be immediately disclosed to Dignitas.
• Safeguarding: Adhere to Dignitas safeguarding policy for children and vulnerable adults.
• Data Protection: Comply with GDPR and Kenya Data Protection Act when handling any user data.
• Confidentiality & IP
• All materials, designs, and content created under this consultancy will be the sole property of Dignitas.
• Consultants may not reproduce, distribute, or use project content for external purposes without written consent.
• Termination Clause
• Dignitas reserves the right to terminate this agreement with 14 days’ notice if deliverables or timelines are not met, or in case of misconduct, breach of confidentiality, or failure to comply with safeguarding policies.

Eligibility/Qualifications

• Instructional Designer / Learning Science Consultant

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Curriculum Development, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design or learning sciences specifically in digital learning contexts, e-learning development, or teacher training platforms.
