Job Description

At Pixel Academy, we’re passionate about inspiring the next generation of innovators through hands-on learning in coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, and more. We specialize in creating dynamic, future-ready learning environments for K-12 students, aligned with the latest educational standards and frameworks.

STEM Instructors

We are looking for enthusiastic, part-time STEM Instructors to lead engaging 60–90 minute classes, clubs, and camps held after school, on weekends, and during school breaks. You will guide small groups (6–12 students) through interactive lessons that turn abstract concepts into tangible creations—robots that race, apps that solve problems, or experiments that launch rockets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-written curricula in coding (Scratch, Python, Java), robotics (LEGO Spike, VEX, micro:bit), or engineering/design challenges.
  • Adapt pacing and examples to student ages (Grades K-2, 3–5, 6–8, or 9–12) and experience levels.
  • Maintain a 6:1 (or better) student-to-instructor ratio; provide individualized support and safety oversight.
  • Set up, test, and pack classroom technology/hardware before and after each session.
  • Record attendance, formative feedback, and light post-class reporting in our LMS.
  • Communicate professionally with parents on student progress and classroom highlights.
  • Participate in quarterly instructor meet-ups and 2–3 hours of training per term.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s degree in STEM field, Education, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring youth ages 5–17.
  • Comfort with at least one of the following: block-based coding, Python/Java/C++, Arduino/robotics kits, CAD, or basic data science.
  • Reliable transportation to partner schools/makerspaces (if onsite) or high-speed internet & quiet teaching space (if remote).
  • Enthusiasm for experiential learning and growth mindset culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM-related fields(Engineering,IT,computer science etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of at least two of the following: coding (e.g. Scratch,Python),robotics,loT, or Drones.
  • Enthusiasm for experiential learning and growth mindset culture.
  • Prior experience teaching or mentoring children in STEM activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
