NICU & Nursery Nurse

  • We are seeking experienced and compassionate NICU & Nursery Nurses to join our neonatal care team. The successful candidates will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns, ensuring safe, high-quality, and family-centered care within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns in NICU.
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate specialized neonatal equipment such as ventilators and incubators.
  • Provide direct care to neonates in the nursery and NHDU.
  • Assist doctors and specialists in neonatal procedures and interventions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure effective communication during patient handovers.
  • Support family-centered care by educating and guiding parents on newborn care.
  • Uphold infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital protocols.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement and training activities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma- KRCHN, KRN/KRM or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration and practicing license with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
  • Higher Diploma or training in Neonatal Nursing / Critical Care is an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in NICU or neonatal care in a hospital setting.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong clinical knowledge of neonatal and critical care practices.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot neonatal monitoring and life-support equipment.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-family interaction skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and resilience in caring for newborns and supporting families.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

 

Medical Officer

  • We are seeking a committed and adaptable Medical Officer to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate should be flexible with work timings, eager to learn, and ready to undergo a mandatory 2-week voluntary shadowing and orientation period prior to official employment. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure across various hospital departments while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate actively in ward rounds, patient reviews, admissions, and discharges.
  • Support emergency response and provide on-call coverage when required. Assist in emergency surgical cases when required
  • Collaborate with consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure holistic patient management.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, treatment notes, and documentation in line with hospital protocols.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional medical practice while upholding patient confidentiality.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and adopt a willingness to learn new medical and surgical practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.
  • Registered and licensed with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
  • Internship completion in an accredited hospital.
  • Valid Indemnity Insurance Cover
  • Valid ACLS & BLS certification mandatory

 

OPD/Emergency Nurse

  • We are seeking skilled and compassionate OPD & Emergency Nurses to join our outpatient department team. The successful candidates will be responsible for triaging patients, providing high-quality nursing care, and supporting clinicians in delivering efficient outpatient services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform triage assessments, including vital signs and initial patient evaluations, to prioritize care.
  • Provide nursing care and support to patients in the outpatient setting.
  • Assist doctors and clinical officers during consultations, minor procedures, and treatments.
  • Run outpatient clinics
  • Handle and escalate outpatient emergencies
  • Administer medications and dressings as prescribed.
  • Document patient information accurately in medical records and triage forms.
  • Educate patients on prescribed treatments, medication use, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain infection prevention and safety protocols within OPD and triage areas.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and patient-friendly outpatient environment.
  • Support patient flow by coordinating admissions, referrals, and discharges as needed.

Qualifications

  • Diploma- KRCHN or KRN/KRM or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration and practicing license with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
  • At least 2 years’ nursing experience, preferably in outpatient/ or emergency settings.

This role is ideal for a proactive nurse who is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining high standards of patient care and hospital service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing support and oversight for daily hospital operations.
  • Conduct regular ward rounds and assist in patient assessment, monitoring, and care coordination.
  • Support nursing teams to ensure quality care delivery and adherence to clinical protocols.
  • Assist in administrative and operational duties, including documentation, coordination of services, and communication across departments.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration and practicing license with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a hospital setting.
  • Previous experience in hospital coordination or administrative or covering nursing roles is highly desirable.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an added advantage.
